The Service de police de la Ville de Montreal (SPVM) helps serve the entire island of Montreal and is the second largest municipal police force in all of Canada. The SPVM's responsibilities take on protecting the lives of individuals/citizens, to maintain peace and public security, to prevent and combat crime, and to enforce laws and regualtions.
