This is Canada's most well known Christmas parade, running down Ste. Catherine Street between Atwater Ave and Ste. Urbaine Street. This event - usually in the middle of November - marks the beginning of the Christmas celebrations. The crowds witnessing this colorful spectacle are estimated to be around 350,000 people. Floats with elves and puppets, and marching bands playing favorite holiday tunes all contribute to the electric atmosphere.
