Located in Montreal, Quebec, Marymount Academy is a public secondary school under the direction of the English Montreal School Board. As a member of the International Schools Association, we are an IBO-accredited school offering both a Regular program of studies (MEQ) as well as the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP).
Founded in 1961, Marymount High School offered programs separately for both boys and girls at 6300 Cote St. Luc Road. In 1970, the two programs unified under the Marymount Comprehensive High School. In 1984, the unified school was relocated to 5100 Cote St. Luc Road and was given its present name, Marymount Academy. A compulsory school uniform was instituted in 1990-91. In addition, the International Baccalaureate Program was established in 1996-97. Recently, a resource program was implemented for visually impaired students. Additionally, the first stages of a music program had been introduced into the curriculum.
