Its founder, Mr. Georges N. Clermont, opens a Ford dealership on St. Denis Street near Rachel. As this building quickly becomes too restricting, he decides to have a new construction built and moves the dealership, still located on St. Denis Street, but this time, South of Mont-Royal Avenue. This association with Ford will last until 1925.
