Across from Les Cours Mont Royal shopping plaza, in the middle of downtown, is where you will find Alexandre. This Montreal bistro is perfect for lunch or dinner.  Opening its doors during the 1976 Summer Olympics, Alexandre became a local favorite with its array of French bistro standards and the assorted pan-European specialties found on its menu.  Excluding wine or tip, dine for two for under CAD60.  Sit and watch the people go by on the ground level, in particular during the summer when the terrace is open.  Head upstairs when you're in the mood for a more intimate atmosphere and where beers from around the globe are offered at the bar.
