The Underground City is the world's largest underground pedestrian network. During summer this place makes great shelter from the boiling heat and in winter is a refuge towards the freezing cold winds. The Underground City has more than 30 kilometers of passageways linking to all the Montreal Metros. It contains 1,600 little boutiques, 200 restaurants, 34 cinemas and 1,600 apartments. On average 500,000 people use it every day. The best time to visit the Underground City would be when it is less crowded from the hours of 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm.
