In business since 1953, the Houle family has been associated with the Montreal automotive industry for 50 years now. Three generations have succeeded themselves since the foundator, J. Antonio Houle, opened a small Supertest service station, at the same spot where the present automobile dealership is located, on Hochelaga Street, in the east of Montreal.

Six steps have marked the history of this marvellous family business. The opening of a small service station in 1953 was followed by the addition of a body shop in 1955 and an Isard agency in 1959. In 1960, the business takes a radical turn by opening a Volkswagen dealership up until 1975, when Volkswagen made way for Toyota.

However, the biggest step of all took place, as the new and pre-owned vehicle sales departments, as well as the body shop, moved into a luxurious building located at 12305 Sherbrooke Street, in Montreal, on the corner of 16th Avenue. Micor Autos was the dealership that used to occupy this building.

Please note that the service and parts departments as well as accounting will join the other departments on Sherbrooke Street on April 3rd 2006, till then, they are at 9080 Hochelaga Street.

A family story
We have to believe that the entrepreneurship genes were strong in Antonio Houle since they were transmitted from father to son for three generations. As a matter of fact, having the same passion for automobiles as their father, André and Guy Houle each have two sons, which means that the third generation is comprised of four guys who work harmoniously together in assuring the smooth operation of the business. So, Michel Houle is the general manager of the business; Yvan Houle is the sales manager; Louis overlooks the service department and Yves Houle heads the parts department. Each has their own well-determined tasks that they perform in the best possible way. But, everything is done in inter-relation and the symbiosis of this team work results in a business that performs in perfect harmony, with one common goal: the customer's satisfaction.

A competent team
Besides the business managers, each member of the personnel is trained to satisfy the needs of the clientele. For example, each representative is trained by the Toyota University. He or she then perfectly knows the manufacturer's various products and can adequately advise you which vehicle best suits your needs and budget.

The biggest showroom
As we've mentioned previously, Houle Toyota is located, since June 2nd 2003, in a new building magnificently renovated to welcome you. We will host the biggest Toyota showroom on the island of Montreal. We also have to inform you that the parts and service department will be able to welcome you from Monday to Thursday nights.
