Created on December 8, 1945, CJAD 800 first broadcast was from studios in the Canadian Legion Building located at 1119 Mountain Street.

CJAD 800 is also very involved with the community. Supporting the Montreal Children's Hospital, CJAD's biggest event is a radiothon in order to help raise money for the hospital.
